Here’s something interesting, the Speech Accent Archive. Hundreds of people were recorded reading the same paragraph of English text, and you can listen to them to get a feel for the accents of people from different parts of the world and with different levels of English proficiency. Pretty cool.

That is super cool. If you listen to enough people read it, the nonsense paragraph starts to sound like poetry. Or maybe that’s just because it talks about blue cheese…mmmm.

how fun! i listened to people in fl., ga., ky., and vancouver. what a difference!
